(AsiaGameHub) – An Iowa man is set for a life-changing windfall after securing a significant prize from the state’s Millionaire for Life lottery.
The lucky winner, Doug Dearborn, 61, from Lohrville, has come forward to collect his winnings from Friday’s draw, a sum totaling $2.2 million, which is the game’s second-top prize.

While he had the choice of a $100,000 annual payment for life, Dearborn opted for the one-time cash payment to utilize the funds immediately. His ticket successfully matched the five main numbers, though he fell just short of the additional bonus ball required for the top award.
Nevertheless, Dearborn expressed great contentment with his fortune, recounting the instant he discovered his win. “I looked at my ticket and went ‘WOO!,’” he said, an outburst that drew the attention of other shoppers in the store.
Dearborn’s winning numbers were 14, 16, 21, 43, and 51, but he did not match the Millionaire Ball 3. His decision to take the lump sum comes shortly after a Canadian lottery winner selected a CAD 1,000 weekly allowance instead of a CAD 1 million one-time payment.
